Week 2

This week in French we continue to work on developing French vocabulary around the calendar, weather and seasons. Here is a picture of the digital calendar we will be using to start off each class. Students are learning the days of the week, months of the year, how to describe the weather and seasons.  Students also had a chance to review and learn French colours. It's important for students to know where to find common words in the classroom to use in their writing. They were given scrambled words and tasked with finding the proper spelling and word for each colour.

  Bienvenue à la classe de français ! Welcome to French class at Ramsay ! My name is Jill MacLeod and I am really looking forward to teaching your children French this year.   During our first class together, we discussed why students felt i t was important to learn French , what they were hoping to learn this year and went over classroom expectations and routines. During the month of September , s tudents will learn   simple phrases and expressions to use regularly in the classroom in order to communicate their basic needs. Additionally, students will learn vocabulary to describe   people in the classroom and school and classroom supplies .   Here are a few songs that I shared with students this week to support them to learn the days of the week and month s of the year.
